We’re excited to announce our new program, Study Pods!
When you join a Study Pod, you commit to a weekly Zoom meeting led by a Primal Trust™ facilitator as you work through the material together. You’ll meet with the same faces every week for six to nine months, starting at Level 1, at a pace that honors your nervous system.
We created Study Pods because we believe healing happens better in community!
Study Pods goes back to the early days of Primal Trust™, when our founder, Dr. Cathleen King, walked through the material with members in small groups, everyone learning and supporting each other along the way. That’s how Primal Trust teachings were always designed to be learned and applied.
With Study Pods, we’re offering members a safe space for accountability, community, and real transformation – all for free inside the membership!
In your Study Pod, you’ll build relationships that help hold you accountable to the practices and inquiry work that can actually shift your health and your life. This is where you learn to live out your Primal Trust!
No extra cost, included with membership
What Is Primal Trust™?
Primal Trust™ is an online nervous system and brain retraining program founded by Dr. Cathleen King, DPT. Chronic symptoms that will not resolve, a body that reacts to everything, doing all the right things and still crashing: underneath all of it is very often an autonomic nervous system stuck in a chronic stress loop.
The program teaches you to interrupt that loop through daily regulation practices, brain retraining, somatic work, and emotional processing, delivered in a specific sequence so your body is never asked for more capacity than it has. Your membership includes the full curriculum, daily live classes, community forums, and your Study Pod.
The Journey We've Built
Daily Regulate™ is where the journey starts. Forty days of short daily practices that build the ritual first, before anything harder is asked of you. Nobody begins with trauma processing.
Level 1: Regulate is where the seed goes in, and it’s where your Study Pod picks you up. The pod is the boat on the river, carrying you through the level that is hardest to finish alone.
Level 2: Integrate is the stretch with the rocks in it, where you turn toward what your nervous system has been holding and the roots go deeper than the growth you can see.
Liberate is what opens up downstream. Less about managing symptoms, more about the life that becomes available once your body is no longer spending everything it has on protection.
The Plan
- Join the Primal Trust™ membership. Your Study Pod is included free with your membership, no extra cost.
- Join a Study Pod that fits where you’re starting. We recommend most people start with Level 1.
- Show up weekly. Heal alongside people just as committed as you.

Real Stories from Real Members
“The group support is absolutely invaluable. It helps me feel less lonely and isolated and meet other people going through similar things. I would never want to go through this by myself.”
Betsy, Primal Trust™ Study Pod Member
“I am amazed by how helpful this group has been and honestly shocked that it is given freely to members of Primal Trust. This is one thing I mention as a highlight when I send patients to Primal Trust.”
Kristie, Primal Trust™ Study Pod Member and Practitioner
“Before my Study Pod, I was struggling with debilitating anxiety and fear. It felt all-consuming and was an exhausting way to live. Now I’ve been able to expand my capacity and sit with the uncomfortable emotions and sensations. I remember having a sudden surge of symptoms. In the past I would have spiraled. Instead I sat with the emotions, reassured myself I was safe, and within minutes the symptoms subsided completely. I felt an overwhelming feeling of safety and blurted out, ‘I’ve got this.'”
Kelly, Primal Trust™ Study Pod Member
“Study Pods are the RIGHT kind of healthy support. Mirroring. Co-regulation. Human presence. Validation that I truly now know that I am NOT alone.”
Primal Trust™ Study Pod Member
“The Study Pods group is the best thing that has happened for me since joining Primal Trust. I believe that I will be 100% more successful in the program with the Study Pod than I would have been without it.”
Kathy, Primal Trust™ Study Pod Member
“I’ve dabbled in Primal Trust for five years now and never really made progress until I got involved with this. The community makes all the difference.”
Kristin, Primal Trust™ Study Pod Member
“When I started the material on my own, my pace was much slower and I started to find it a bit lonely. A guided group is helping me feel connected to others in a way that doesn’t even require words.”
Lori, Primal Trust™ Study Pod Member
FAQ: Common Questions
That’s completely understandable, and joining a new group can bring up some activation for many people. Pods are designed to be gentle, supportive spaces where you can participate at your own pace. Share as much or as little as feels comfortable. We encourage keeping your camera on when you’re able, but it’s always your choice.
Study Pods are designed to be nervous-system friendly from the start. You can simply listen from the comfort of your own home, and entering a breakout room is always optional.
Showing up matters more than being fully “on.” If you can’t make a call live, or can’t be fully present when you’re there, that’s okay. We just want you to show up, no matter what. Many members listen “podcast style” while resting, walking, or making dinner, and still find the material resonates more once they hear how others are applying it.
Pods meet once a week for 75 minutes, plus about 1 to 2 hours of integration practices or workbook exercises on your own. The goal isn’t to perfectly master the curriculum. It’s to build a basic understanding you can start applying to your life. Many members go through Level 1 and 2 more than once, deepening their knowledge and healing with each pass.
Your group stays together for five to nine months as you move through the curriculum. Staying with the same people over that stretch is what makes a pod a container rather than a class.
Yes, truly. Study Pods are included in your Primal Trust™ membership at no extra cost. The market value of a Study Pod is at least $5,000.
Pods are intentionally kept small so members can build meaningful connections. If a pod fills, don’t worry. New pods are released every month throughout the year.
No special preparation is required. Come ready to engage with the material, share when you feel comfortable, and support others on the journey with you. Your Guide will assign practices or workbook exercises to complete each week at your own pace.
Included free with your membership
Your membership also includes Daily Regulate™ LIVE, the 40-day guided practice at the start of the journey. The next live round begins October 5, and many members run it alongside their Study Pod: the daily ritual to build the practice, the pod to hold them while it takes root.
